Ameri-Shred offers five models of conveyor fed Medium Duty Industrial Paper Shredders. When matched with a tiper (cart dumper), output conveyor and baler, these shredders off the most efficient method for large volume document destruction and recycling operations. Although similar in appearance, each successive model has more power, a larger drive train and greater capacity.

The Medium Duty Industrial series shredders, with their twenty inch wide input conveyor, consists of the AMS-1500, AMS-2000, AMS-2500, AMS-3000, and AMS-4000 models. Using ten and three-quarter inch diameter cutters, these models range from fifteen to forty horsepower and will realistically shred one to three tons of material per hour. The Medium Duty Industrial's quality engineering, design, and manufacturing add up to a tons per day ability that is unsurpassed in the industry.

For easy maintenance, our Ameri-Shred Medium Duty Industrial shredders feature lift-off panels. These lift-off panels are also offered with either a limit switch that stops the machine when the panel is removed, or fasteners, which require toolds to remove. In addition, lubrication of all heavy duty, self-aligning, double row spherical bearings is done from one location. The elven inch diameter spur gears, with four and a quarter inch wide face, run in an oil bath. This eliminates the need for manual greasing. A ten inch steel paddle wheel crusher, located just in front of the cutters, enables these shredders to destroy boxes, wastebasket contents, corrugated and crumpled paper, as well as steel, aluminum, and plastic beverage containers. 		Precision ground, self-sharpening A-2 tool steel cutters with a positive saw-tooth grip will shred not only paper but corrugated boxes, credit cards, transparencies, microfilm, microfiche and floppy disks. An optional automatic cutter head lubrication system is available.

		Standard extra-large feed table provides an area to dump a full gaylord, cart or container to maximize throughput. This feature allows the operator to merely push the material that needs to be destroyed onto the input conveyor belt. By reducing bending and lifting of material, operator fatigue is also reduced.

		The electrical control system consists of high quality, American-made components housed in a dust-proof key locked enclosure for safe, maintenance free operation. Our Medium Duty Industrial shredders feature an automatic shut down in the event a jam occurs.

		These units come with lift off panels for easy maintenance such as: V-belt adjustment, torque limiter adjustment, chain drive adjustment and general inspection.

		Aluminum bronze wear pads keep the cutters from riding into the side plates of the shredder and can be field adjusted to maintain tolerances and maximize shredding.

		A paddle wheel crusher, located just ahead of the cutters, enables these versatile machines to crush and shred wastebasket contents, corrugated boxes and even steel and aluminum beverage containers.

		Heat treated spur gears with a full 4-1/2" face provide effective transfer of power to the cutters. Oil bath lubrication eliminates the need for manual greasing.

		Attached Output Conveyor - Attached output conveyors will carry the shreds to a baler (horizontal or vertical), gaylord container, compactor, etc.
